Everyone has the right to live free from discrimination and to feel safe in their home. The Violence Against Women Act, or VAWA, was written with this in mind. This training will examine the history of VAWA and discuss the expanded fair housing protections offered to those protected under VAWA. Additionally, we will explore other programs that may offer benefits to those most affected by VAWA, such as SNAP and WIC.
